Aark House is a compact hostel located within a 5-minute drive from Gangneung Train Station (Yeongdong Line). Free WiFi access is available in all areas and complimentary breakfast is provided every day.

Each room at Aark House are equipped with bunk beds, clothes racks and air conditioning. Bathrooms and toilets are shared.

Guests are free to use the shared kitchen area and laundry facilities at Aark House. Public parking is available at a nearby location upon reservation.

The hostel is within a 15-minute drive from Songjeong Beach and the famous coffee street along the beach. Ojukheon, a famous residence of a politician of Joseon Dynasty built in the 1500s, is also within a 15-miute from the hostel. Gangneung Express Bus Terminal is a 10-minute drive away.

Great guesthouse, would love to stay here again!

The owner was so kind and helpful. We wanted to leave our bags at the property early in the morning so we could explore the city, she made it very easy. Very clean for a guesthouse bathroom. Great value.

My bed was very comfortable, but my friend's was a little hard. They are metal bunk beds, so they wobbled a little as you climbed up.

It was just nice. Simple clean place for a very good price.

The location of this place is a bit in between everything...so not really close to anything. Also the interriure quite simple. But you have everything you need.

Accommodating, generous host in a comfortable home

Booked a dorm but the host was generous enough to give me a private room. When I extended my stay, I had to move to a shared room. Had good sleep in both rooms because beds are clean and even have curtains for privacy (in the dorm) Entire place has a homey vibe with pantry/kitchen and cute nooks / small lounge area. Host also took care of my laundry at a reasonable fee.

The location and the price for a single room for solo travelers. It’s near the bus terminal (though the way to the house from the bus stop can be confusing for people terrible at direction like me- thanks to Naver map though).

I will make sure to book a stay in aark house again for my next Gangneug trip !

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was my first time visiting Gangneug and staying at Aark House made it even better ! The check-in went smoothly, the lady let me leave my backpacks at the house because I arrived before the check-in time, the location is perfect, very central. The bed was very comfortable and the house overall was very clean.

great affordable stay for a weekend in Gangneung!

everything super clean and cozy. i booked a dorm but instead got a single bedroom with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom all to myself! The owner was super friendly and even provided a heatable blanket in the cold weather

breakfast was not provided even though it is still mentioning in the description and showing pictures about it. They should remove this if they changed the policy due to covid.

Very nice

The owner was really friendly and helpful. She gave us tips on what to do in the area. The hostel is on three floors. I was at the second floor. There is a kitchen, common area, four rooms and one bathroom. Everything is very clean.
